Ametrine (also Amethyst-Citrine Quartz, Trystine or Golden Amethyst) is a bicolor blend of Citrine and Amethyst. It’s unusual color is due to iron in different states of oxidation. While its main deposit in Bolivia has been famous since the 17th century, it’s only become commercially available since 1980.

As a stone of both balance and connection, ametrine is believed to relieve tension, bring serenity and stimulate creativity, as well as balance mental stability and self-confidence. Ametrine is considered a double boost to remove toxins from the body, as both amethyst and citrine are detoxifiers.
